Vodokanal specialists participate in IX Northern Dimension Forum


On 5 April, St. Petersburg hosted IX Northern Dimension Forum. Over 200 delegated from the Northern Dimension partner countries (Russia, Norway, Iceland and the EU) participated in the event.

This year, the Forum will focus on new economic thinking: innovative management models and business processes. Russian and international experts, representatives of regional authorities and presidents of major companies shared their vision of future development of the Northern Dimension countries and ways to improve the efficiency of their economies.

Vodokanal specialists participated in the panel “Ecology and Circular Economy”. The panel moderators were Anatoliy Kinebas, manager for liaison with public and professional organizations, Vodokanal, and Mari Pantsar, director of Sitra - the Finnish Innovation Fund.

Olga N. Rublevskaya, director of Technology Development and Environment Protection Department, was among the panelists. She told about Vodokanal activities aimed to improve eco-efficiency of water management and to mitigate a negative impact on the environment.

The Water Academy made its presentation at the same panel. Maria Adamova, assistant vice-principal of the Water Academy, described the history of the Academy and presented the existing and new education programmes.
