SUE “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg” will participate in the International Forum “Pure Water - 2009” to be held in Moscow on 24-25 November 2009 at the territory of the World Trade Center. Felix V. Karmazinov, Director General of St. Petersburg Vodokanal, is a member of the Forum’s Organizing Committee.

The Head of the “Pure Water” Forum Organizing Committee is Boris V. Gryzlov, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. A.D. Zhukov, Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Government, G.G. Onischenko, Chief Sanitary Officer of Russia, A.N. Shokhin, the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Yu.M. Luzhkov, the Mayor of Moscow, the representatives of the Russian Ministries, governors are among the Committee members.

The Forum is connected to development of the state program “Pure Water”, the program implementation is expected to be started in 2010.

Within November Forum it is planned to discuss the state program development progress, PPP mechanisms in the water sector and progressive methods of water management in communities. Special attention will be paid to public environmental awareness. Several round tables – prospects of the self-regulating water sector, drinking water preparation and wastewater treatment innovative technologies, unification of requirements to bottle drinking water etc. – are also planned to be held.

An exhibition will take place within the framework of the International “Pure Water” Forum. The exhibitors (including SUE “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg” will present innovative technologies for the Russian water industry.
